Tiger-Heli Game by Taito Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Save: None Released: 1988 Works with: N/A **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: I bought this game about 4 years ago for $5. I think that I actually owned it before that, as well. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Description: Tiger-Heli is your classic shooter. You fly a helicopter and you must destroy the enemies. You can also destroy neighborhoods for bonus points. You can destroy anything and everything. There are also power-ups to upgrade your ship. It's pretty fun to play, but it is kinda simple by today's standards. Liked: Fun shooter action. Hated: Somewhat simple gameplay. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Tiger-Heli is an NES game and it shows. The vehicles and the other objects are very simple and plain looking. They do the job, but don't expect any eye-candy. Liked: Decent graphics. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Tiger-Heli has decent music. It's nothing spectacular, but it's okay. It sounds like the usual videogame music. The sound fx are very simple. Liked: Okay music. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: Tiger-Heli has very responsive controls. They're also easy to learn. The game design is good, but it's just more of the same shooter action. Liked: Responsive controls. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Improve: Add some unique aspects to the gameplay. RIYL: Raiden, Raiden 2, Gradius. **************************************************************************** Final Words: Tiger-Heli is a pretty good, but not excellent, game. It proves that some NES games are still as good as they used to be. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: *** Graphics: *** Sound/Music: ** Play Control/Game Design: **** Personal Opinion: *** Total: 15 out of 25 Final Score: 60 % **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None.
