Tokyo Highway Battle ( known in japan as Shutoko Battle) Game by Genki Review by BigBadBar kummel@erols.com size is 1 GD-ROM Release 1999 Works with Rumble Pak Modem Play present. **************************************************************************** Opening Side remarks: ...... **************************************************************************** Gameplay Description: This game tries a new kind of gameplay. You have to beat your rival in a race across the Highways of Tokyo. To win, you have to stay in first place for a determined time to win. If the guy passes you, your time starts to run out. Then you pass the guy and his time starts from what it was. The problem is, It is VERY hard to pass any other car. You will have to hope for a crash, that will probably NEVER happen. That knocks of a star. Only one HUGE track. I mean HUGE, like 4 times bigger than one in Beetle Adventure Racing and you start in it in random places, but you'll recognize it's only one track, and that knocks off another star. But the traffic is cool. You have to pay attention to it, because it moves "slowly" because you are speeding at 200 mph and they're not. Liked: Huge track... that's about it... oh and Traffic Hated: Computer is too smart, only one track.... **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Awesome graphics. The light post do seem to light up the track. By the way, everything is at night. Cars look awesome and the background is very cool, but the buildings arent in 3D... Liked: Everything Hated: Nothing **************************************************************************** Sound Description: Engine sounds are great and the music is nice too... sound effects are top notch Liked:Everything Hated: Nothing **************************************************************************** Play Control/ Game design: This new design is nice at 2 player mode. The controls are very realistic, which is pretty hard to make tight turns. Liked: Pretty much everything Hated: PRetty much nothing.. **************************************************************************** Improve: Make computer more dumb... RIYL: Unknown **************************************************************************** Final Words: It's a good game, but it lacks the [ put New York accent here] "Flavor" **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: *** Graphics: ***** Sound/Music: ***** Play Control/Game Design: **** Personal Opinion: ** Total: 19 out of 25 Final Score: 76% Words of Wisdom (BigBadBar reviews exclusive): good **************************************************************************** Currently Know codes: You shouldn't cheat you know?
