Fighting Vipers Game by Sega Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Save: Saturn internal memory Released: 1996 Works with: Arcade Stick **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: I love Virtua Fighter 2. It's the best fighting game ever and I dare anyone else to prove me wrong. This game is another fighter from Sega so it would have to be good. Wouldn't it? **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: This game is pure Sega goodness. The fighting is so simple that it's super fun. There's only 3 attack buttons, but there are all kinds of combos to use. This is a one-on-one fighting game, except the fights take place in closed areas, such as steel cages. There's one arena that's a steel cage with barb wire around it ECW style. There are a lot of air-juggles and combos galore. This game is a little flashier than VF2. Overall, Fighting Vipers is a blast to play. Liked: Simple, yet exciting fights. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: The graphics in Fighting Vipers are excellent. The fighters are well detailed and brightly colored. The backgrounds are very detailed. Everything looks great. Liked: Colorful fighters. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Fighting Vipers has a really cool rock soundtrack. The music is kind of cheesy metal but it fits the game well. The sound fx are well-done. Liked: Cool music. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: The controls of Fighting Vipers are simple, but yet there are thousands of moves that you can pull off. There's only 2 attack buttons and a block button. These controls are simple enough for anyone to handle. The game design is good, but it kind of follows the same old fighter pattern. Liked: Perfect controls. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Improve: More fighters, less linear gameplay. RIYL: Virtua Fighter 2(The BEST fighter ever), Tekken **************************************************************************** Final Words: Fighting Vipers is an awesome fighting game. If you already have Virtua Fighter 2, then you should also have Fighting Vipers. If you don't already have Virtua Fighter 2, then do yourself a favor and get it. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: **** Graphics: **** Sound/Music: **** Play Control/Game Design: **** Personal Opinion: **** Total: 20 out of 25 Final Score: 80 % **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None.
