Waialae Country Club Game by T & E Soft Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Save: 3DO Internal Memory Released: 1994 Works with: N/A **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: I am somewhat of a golf videogame fan. I found this game for $10 a while back and I bought it. This is the original game that the N64 Waialae game is based on. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Description: Waialae is basically just like every other golf game. The biggest addition to play is that you have to fight the wind. This is a stupid addition to play. It gets old having to guess where to aim your shot because of the wind. Other than that, the game plays a good game of golf. Liked: Decent golf gameplay. Hated: The wind. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Waialae has some pretty good digitzed 2-D sprites. The sprites are photorealistic. The graphics are great, but when are we going to see a polygon golf game? Liked: Good 2-D graphics. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Waialae has very little music, but what there is is good. The sound fx are good, but the game needs a play-by-play commentator. Liked: Good sound fx. Hated: No announcer. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: Waialae controls well. The controls are easy to grasp. The game design is okay, but there's only 1 course to play. Liked: Good controls. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Improve: Add some polygon graphics. RIYL: Waialae(N64), PGA Tour series. **************************************************************************** Final Words: Waialae Country Club is an okay golf game, but you can do better. I would recommend that you get a different game. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: ** Graphics: *** Sound/Music: ** Play Control/Game Design: ** Personal Opinion: ** Total: 11 out of 25 Final Score: 44 % **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None.
