Zombies Ate My Neighbors Game by Konami/LucasArts Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Save: Password Released: 1993 Works with: N/A **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: I thought that this was a cool-looking game, but I never bought it until I found it cheap. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Description: ZAMN is an overhead shooter kinda like Ikari Warriors, except instead of soldiers you're fighting zombies and psycho-killers. You also aren't using hand-grenades and bullets, you instead use a squirt-gun and cans of refreshing beverages. You also can use blow-up clowns and popsicles to defeat the enemies. You are supposed to rescue all of the humans on a a level before the monsters can get them. This game is a blast to play in short bursts, but it gets old after a while. Thankfully, there are passwords so you don't have to play all the way through in one setting. Liked: Unique gameplay. Hated: Gets old after a while. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: ZAMN has some very cartoony 2-D sprite graphics. The people have a very carttony look to them. The backgrounds are very detailed and look great. These are some of the best graphics that the SNES ever had to offer. Liked: Good graphics. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: ZAMN has some great music. It sounds like a cross between the score of a horror movie and the score of a spaghetti western. This is a great mixture and fits this game like a glove. The sound fx are good as well. Liked: Fantastic music. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: ZAMN controls perfectly. The controls are a little complicated, but you will learn them and then they'll feel fine. The game design is great. There are a ton of levels. Liked: Great game design. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Improve: Add polygon graphics. RIYL: Herc's Adventure, Ikari Warriors, Ikari Warriors II. **************************************************************************** Final Words: Zombies Ate My Neighbors is a great game. Will you play it every day? No, but it's a blast to break out every so often and kick some monster ass. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: **** Graphics: **** Sound/Music: ***** Play Control/Game Design: **** Personal Opinion: **** Total: 21 out of 25 Final Score: 84 % **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None.
