Zoda's Revenge: Star Tropics 2 Game by Nintendo Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Save: Battery-1 slot Released: 1994 Works with: N/A **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: I have never played the original Star Tropics. The only reason I even bought this game is that it was $5. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Description: Zoda's Revenge: Star Tropics 2 is basically a lame action game. It's a little like the NES Zelda games but with horrible controls. You have to find certain items to get further, but the controls suck so you will get frustrated before you should. Liked: Nothing. Hated: Everything. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: The graphics of Zoda's Revenge are pretty good for an NES game. They are sort of a cross between overhead and the traditional 2-D perspective. The enemies are kind of cool. Liked: Decent graphics. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Zoda's Revenge has some pretty good tunes. The sound fx are what you would expect from an NES game. Liked: Good music. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: ZR's biggest problem is the horrid controls. They are just not responsive enough. The game design is okay, but more time should have been spent on fixing the controls. Liked: Nothing. Hated: Horrible controls. **************************************************************************** Improve: THE CONTROLS!!!! RIYL: Star Tropics, the Zelda series. **************************************************************************** Final Words: Zoda's Revenge is a pretty poor game. Keep in mind that I never played the original Star Tropics, though. If you loved the original, you might like the sequel. I didn't. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: ** Graphics: *** Sound/Music: *** Play Control/Game Design: * Personal Opinion: ** Total: 11 out of 25 Final Score: 44 % **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None.
