Rhyno attended Annapolis High School in Dearborn, Michigan. After he finished schoold, he looked into getting enrol into a wrestleing school. That is when he found BCW, which was across the Detroit River in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Rhyno enrolled himself on September 1994. Then, he started wrestling on the independant circle after enrolling himself to BCW Can-Am wrestling school in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. While he was wrestling different events in Canada and Michigan, he met up with other wrestlers. Those guys were Edge, Christian and Joe E. Legend. The 4 of them decided to get together and become the Canadian Thug Life. Few years later and tonz of shows, paid at about $25.00 per event, three of them are back together, in the WWF.
Rhyno had his big push when he started wrestling in ECW. At the end of their reign, he was the last TV Champion and ECW Champion. He still have those two belts at home.
From ECW, he did a couple of shows here, in Windsor, Ontario to where he started, at BCW. During that period in 2001, the WWF signed him and now, the rest is history.
In October 2001, following an injury to his neck, he decided to leave, to get the operation to his neck, almost the same one as Stone Cold Steve Austin and Chris Benoit. His departure was part of the storyline, when he got suspended from the Alliances indefinitely. He should be back around November 2002.
