Thirty years ago our area was predominantly green fields. Other than a few farms, the two small villages of Great and Little Woolstone represented a rural community listed in the Doomsday book. The arrival of Milton Keynes Development Corporation in the 1970's changed this drastically.

Thirty per cent of the population live in Oldbrook at the western end of the area adjacent to the city centre. Fishermead has only a slightly lower population. Current estimates do not expect our population to increase by very much over the next twenty years. Some estimates are predicting a slight reduction. Campbell Park itself is another matter altogether. There is a five billion pounds sterling development project for this grid square.
