CORRINE LORA

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Don't you think this little cherrub should be on an Angel's Page somewhere? Corie is now 19, and still incredibly beautiful, but what a picture this is. I was in the Army when Corie was born and missed so much of her early years because of it. I went to Germany for a three year tour when she was two and I was lucky enough to spend two weeks at home beforehand. My mom & dad brought Corie with them when they took me to the airport. My mom told me later that they couldn't even get her little snowsuit on her she was so upset that I left. And when I came home from Germany this baby ran right to me like I had never even been gone. So many thanks to my mom and my sister Joy for always reminding Corie of me while I was gone. (Hey, this kid was pretty great for my ego, don't you think?) These memories I shall never forget.

Corie took ballet and other dance lessons from the time she was four years old. That's a whole lot of recitals!!! Every one of them filled me with pride for the discipline required to excel at such an art.

This is one of Corie's graduation pictures. She was an excellent student and very involved in school activities such as cheerleading. She was a recipient of several college scholarships and currently attends St. Mary's College, the sister school to Notre Dame. She has made her parents and everyone proud of her excellent grades and determination for success.
