Why do I like Rider Strong

Why do I like Rider Strong? Well, which reason do you want?

What I’m NOT going to say is I like Rider because of his looks. Is he cute? As bmwr-Krysta says, "hell, yeah!", But that’s not all. I find those very un-convincing and somewhat lame reasons.

One reason I like him is because he doesn’t smoke. I don’t smoke, and I never would want to smoke. I also never support any actor/actress if they smoke, no matter how great they are. I think it’s great that he uses his fame to help others, and tell them not to smoke, not just to be a show-off. That shows he is not self-centered.

I also think it’s great that he actually took precious, valuable time to make a page for his fans. How many celebrities can you name that update the page themselves, type a lil’ letter to there fans, and are pretty dedicated? He also knows not to take advantage of his fans, which is one reason why he isn’t on Celebrity Sightings. He says "I just think it’s wrong to take money from fans."

He’s also a lot smarter and talented than accounted for. I read his poems, they were all really good! I wish I could write poems like that. He graduated as valedictorian of his class. So, he’s smart too. He’s not some air-head actor whom acts, but really doesn’t know anything.

He is going to college. I actually admire all celebrities whom go to college, but Rider goes to college and works at the same time! That’s really amazing. For example: Claire Danes. She is going to Yale right now, but she kind of dropped acting for a while. Rider didn’t.

Perserverance. In case you don’t know what that means, it’s that someone doesn’t give up and just keeps on going. If you’ve ever been to his page, there is a certain section that tells about all his main jobs. Most of them were failures, and the show he did before Boy Meets World, got canceled which was probably pretty upsetting. But, he kept going, and although he isn’t as well-known as say Leonardo Dicaprio, he is more well-known, and he is on one of the most watched shows!!!

I don’t think he really cares how famous he is, acting is like a hobby to him, and he does it for fun. In chat, he said that he doesn’t really like publicity, it can be annoying. He wants to live his own life without all those people ‘getting in his face’ but it’s probably hard sometimes.

Well, last but not least, he’s a talented actor who can always make me laugh, but, can also be dramatic as well.

So, that’s why Rider’s my fave actor in the world, no just on BMW. About his character, Shawn, I actually judged him by how he is in real life…so how Rider is. I also (confession) judged him by how he looks. Whenever I watch TV, I always find out about these peoples’ real selves. Because even though sometimes actors claim to ‘be their character’, I oftentimes find it quite the contrary, and don’t like to judge that way.

So, hi all you Rider fans, keep supporting Rider, for-e-ver. Those were some pretty good reasons (I think??) Rider-Power!!!

MY INSPIRATION

Well, I've already told you why I like Rider Strong, but here's another reason.

As I've mentioned before, Rider Strong is a great poet. Or at least in MY opinion he is. His poems were really beautiful, and he's inspired me to write poetry. I haven't been writing poetry for very long, but some of 'my work' is in the Poetry Corner of BMW's Online Magazine or in the Fan Poetry section of BMW Central.

Well, I wish my poetry was as good as Rider's…but, hey! I'm 13… I'll still live for a while… I'm working on it… Maybe someday I'll be as good as Rider, maybe not.

I guess for me, the easiest topic to write about is Rider.

Don't ask me why, it just is. I like to write about love & friendship & emotions… I wrote one on friendship, but then I wrote one about Rider… then followed by another. I guess I'm really limited on what I can write, since I can't write that much yet, but I'd still probably write about love & friendship anyway even IF I could write, so…

Well, the first time I wrote a poem about Rider, it was just kind of a fun la-la-la thing, and also so I could open a page up in BMW Central for people that could write poetry. So, the theme being BMW, I chose Rider. Then, since Rider is pretty much the love of my life, I found it pretty easy to write about him. I guess that's why.

Well, as you can see, another great point about Rider. He's so talented, and inspirational. At least on my behalf.
