Yes, The options were put to the boys by Flt Lt Gary Vickers, who had only the day before returned from the South of France following a two day visit to assess the feasibility and report back on the possibilities of this great opportunity for the Boys of 624 to meet with the boys of the Resistance who they supplied 60 years ago with the resources required to overcome the Nazi advance northwards and therefore reduce the resistance to allow for the successful D-day landings, yet again evidence of why the boys of 624 are indeed The UNSUNG HEROES. Flt Lt Vickers told us of how, during his visit, he had met with many members of the French résistance, Colonel August the R.A.F. Military Attaché at the British Embassy in Paris, the Mayor of Lannemezan and Mr Al Gaudet who tends the gravesite of the seven 624 members who lost their lives in the mountains on 14th July 1944.

The evening of this years reunion consisted of a quiz in the SWAMP along with liquid refreshment, and many of those present could not stop talking about July. Yet another great night of which everyone enjoyed & all thanks to the members of 4624 Squadron RAuxAF.
