Will of Nimrod Redfearn

Nimrod Redfern dies on November 6, 1829. On September 16, 1829, his will was executed, and probated at the January Term, 1830, in Wadesboro, Anson Co., NC, which reads as follows:

"In the name of God Amen, I Nimrod Redfearn of the county of Anson and state of North Carolina being weak in body but of sound mind and memory do make and declare this to be my last will and testament revoking all others.

Item -- It is my will first that all my just debts be spedely paid. I give and bequeath to my beloved whife Sarah Redfearn the whole of my estate both personal and real during her natural life -- it is my will that all my property personal and real to be sold and devided in the following manner at the death of my wife (viz)
To my daughter Rebecca Fog, I give the sum of one hundred dollars -- I give to my son Thomas H. Redfearn one hundred and fifty dollars -- I give to my sons, Wilson Redfearn, Townly Redfearn, Alfred Redfearn, William A. Redfearn, Malachia G. Redfearn, Berry N. Redfearn an equal part of the said property after giving to my daughter Sarah Betty Redfearn one horse bridle & saddle and one hundred dollars -- it is my will if when the property is sold it should amt. to more than I have already given to my sons David Redfearn, Hanzy Redfearn, John Redfearn & James Redfearn, the balance to be equally divided among the whole of children -- I make and appoint my beloved Sarah Redfearn and my son John Redfearn my Executors --
