Babette Profile:
Name: Babette Freniere
Approximate Age: In her 20s
Appearance: Very feminine and graceful; with masses of raven-black hair and large brown eyes.
Vampires Encountered: Louis de Pointe du Lac and Lestat de Lioncourt.
Background/History: Babette was one of five daughters, having only one
brother, and was fatherless. She lived up the river from Pointe du Lac in a sugar plantation house. 
Her brother was killed by Lestat, and therefore began to run the plantation on her 
own; which was difficult do to the chauvinism and prejudice of the age she lived in. Louis, 
slightly charmed of her, became her guardian angel, giving her advice during her time of need. 
When Pointe du Lac plantation was burnt down, Louis and Lestat came to her in seek of shelter; 
but she turned against the two when she thought Louis was the devil. Louis and Lestat escaped 
and Babette never saw them again; soon after the incident she lost her reason and died at a young age.

Name: Paul de Pointe Du Lac
Approximate Age: Unknown (Younger then 24 as he was Louis younger brother)
Appearance: At 15, "He was very handsome then. He had the smoothest skin and the 
largest blue eyes. He was robust, not thin as I (Louis) am now and 
was then . . . but his eyes . . . it was as if when I looked into his eyes I was standing 
alone on the edge of the world . . . on a windswept ocean beach. There was nothing but 
the soft roar of the waves."
Vampires Encountered: None
Background/History: Paul was the younger brother of Louis de Pointe Du Lac with a 
sister, and was fatherless. He lived with his family, but his family didn't like him very 
much. He wanted to become a priest, and was most of the time very quiet. Louis used to 
come to him for advice to help solve his problems. When he was 15 he began to see visions, 
people thought him mad. He claimed both St. Dominic and the Blessed Virgin Mary had 
come to him in the oratory. Louis couldn't believe him. Within days of his obsession he 
was dead. He fell from the top of the stairs by a mysterious force. When he reached the 
bottom of the steps his neck was broken and the back of his skull shattered. Louis 
thought himself guilty of his death till now.
