...A Thousand Words...Poetry

"A Lost Love"

The princess is a lone coyote crying out into the night,
Sitting all alone in the soft shadows of the silver moonlight.
"My prince where are you?" says she,
"Why haven't you come back to me?"
She remembered that fateful day,
When her prince was lead astray...

He gave to her a single rose,
Telling her not to worry as he goes.
"Our love is like this red, red rose," he said,
"So beautiful in bloom.
It vanishes the darkness, it chases away the gloom."

Said the princess; "Time & space won't keep us apart,
Each of us has the other's heart.
And I love you very much,
Your eyes, your hair, your loving touch..."

The princess looked at the Earth and began to cry,
Hoping her lover would not die.
A dark figure approached her from behind,
His hands were gentle, his eyes were kind.

On her shoulders he put his hands.
She turned around and tried to stand,
But her knees were suddenly weak.
The prince reached down and kissed her cheek.
The princess and prince felt their hearts race,
"I love you," each said as they finally embraced.

"Loneliness"

How can I be freed?
From this torture
of guilt and pain?
Is this how I'm meant to be?
Trapped in a desert of solitude.
Will anyone ever notice me?
Will my heart see friendship?
Love?
Wandering amously in the desert,
sneering at ever happy thing,
I put others down, below me.
This is my torture, my jail.
I cannot escape till I realize
This isn't truly me.
So why do I put myself through it?
Is it to feel important,loved,known?
Everyone wears their own mask,
A mask to fit into this world of illusions,
Removing my mask, my eyes are opened.
I see the world with a new light.
After all these years
a smile crosses my face

"My Blue Eyed Lover"

Your eyes are like the deep blue sea
that looks intently on me.
you warm my soul and heart
I have no Desire to ever part
Holding me tight in your arms.
Ensuring I will never come to harm.
This is how I see love,
Its pure, perfect, an angelic dove.
I want to spend my life like this.
I pick out a falling star and wish
This is my greatest dream,
My beautiful blue eyed lover..

-also written by Trinity. The two above poems are not necessarily written in relation to SM, but I really like them, don't you?

"Saturn"

Saturn is my name; I'm first
Of planets high above the earth.
I am by nature dry and cold,
And my works are manifold.
I in my houses firmly stand-
The Goat and the Waterman.
I do much damage by my might,
On sea and land, by day and night.
My exaltation's in the Scales,
But in the Ram my power fails.
It's thirty years, harsh and malign,
Ere I come again to the same sign.

My children are vicious, dry and old,
Envious, weary, wretched, cold.
Deep eyes, hard skin, their beards are small.
They're lame, misshapen, depraved withal.
Traitorous, brooding, greedy, pale,
They often find themselves in jail.
They grub the dirt, dig graves, plow land,
In foul and stinking clothes they stand.
Condemned to die or live in sorrow,
Sweat and strain, or trouble borrow,
Always needy, never free,
It's Saturn's children there you see.

...And pluck till times and times are done
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.
