"
Burn "
yellow light
dances on the walls,
shadow figures
writhe and play,
sparks on
waves of heat sail
through smokey
rivers of gray.
i stare into
the sacred flame,
it's heat
reddens my skin,
i have come
to see tomorrow-
i have come
to know again.
look into
the fire's heart,
into the beating,
naked flame...
this passion's
flower's blossom
knows and
whispers my name.
come into the fire come into the flame
and burn
and burn
sometimes
i wonder how it'd feel
to dance in
the flickering traces-
disrobed,
holy, spirited-
the heat against
my sacred spaces,
one shadowed
half of me cold,
the other
firelit, warm and free-
my hair, my
hands in motion:
a secret,
private dance of me;
to let the
spirits of this shrine
pray to please
me and strive
to be worthy
of my grace-
fire's daughter;
i'm alive!
come into my spirit come to holy me
and burn
and burn
if you would
come unto me,
then grant
me all control.
give to me
your everything-
i'll share
with you my soul.
throw your
wood in my fire,
let me consume
you in my light,
wrap my flame
about your body-
come keep
my bed warm tonight.
warm yourself
inside my heat:
wildfire spreading
at hellish pace.
if you dare
love the naked flame,
you will die
in my embrace.
come into my arms come feel my embrace
and burn
and burn
the gods punished
prometheus
for he took
what they couldn't hold,
brought the
flame to man's earth,
and left olympus
in the cold.
am i the bearer
of the stolen,
or was i the
teasure lost,
wanted by
gods and mortals,
for whom prometheus
paid the cost?
am i the bringer
of war?
am i the spirit
of the fire?
am i the passionate
one?
am i the one
you desire?
come then to the flame come then to my arms
and burn
and burn
yellow light
dances and leaps
on the walls
in the night,
fire burning
its way to forever,
constant foe
and guiding light.
i watch the
secrets in the heat,
i know my
duty well,
what merlin
saw i see...
what looks
back i cannot tell.
one day the
world will freeze,
or at least
that's what i'm told.
if some devil
wants me in ice,
he'd better
make it damn cold!
born into the fire daughter of the flame
it's gonna take a lot to freeze me
i burn
i burn
