The Armory

Behind the Salle is a long, high-ceilinged room, its panelled walls supporting an array of swords, spears, pistols and harquebuses in an imposing display. Firelight shines from bronze cresset sconces along the walls, gleaming from the silver-steel and burnished gunmetal of the arsenal of the Brugh.

Firelight also shines reflected from a polished oaken table and its flanking benches parallel to the long walls. At either end are high-backed chairs, and behind them on the wall the arms and panoply of the knights and sworn swords of the household. Silver cups and platters deck the high ledge where the high oaken wainscot meets the vaulting stone above.

The weaponry kept here is more than mere display. The array is organized for orderly and efficient distribution should need arise, and each nocker-made piece is maintained in prime working condition. Glamour hangs about the arsenal like the flavor of metal, warning the perceptive of the enchantments laid upon the store weapons by Coulkan, Master of Arms and Seer of Ben Bison.

Most days, the armory is a quiet and empty, but on occasion it hosts a grand feast to honor some champion or momentous event, its long table seating fifty with ease. Only on the most serious of occasions is the armory chosen as the chamber where the Earl's court is convened.
