From Rowan-Oak, the Lonesome Pine Trod winds through the Dreaming woodlands, down into the Cumberlands of Bluegrasses, then deeply into the Fields Behind and the Hindervales before descending again to the Ozark highlands. Here the Silver Path forks, one branch continuing westward to the Duchy of Wallcloud and Tornado Alley, the other running northwestward to the Duchy of Forgotten Tears. A marble waystone stands at the branching of the path. It's right-pointing arrow deeply inscribed: "To Firnost". Followed to it's end, the trod opens upon a garden enclosure from the tangled roots of a massive, solitary pine tree. Beyond, the freehold waits.
