UNOFFICIAL STAR WARS GAMES GUIDE

Welcome to the Unofficial Star Wars Games Guide

The Atari 2600 VCS - 1979

This was one of the first consoles to offer interchangable game cartridges. Atari built a strong and varied catalogue of coin-op conversions and original hits.

Emulation: The Atari 2600, being a fairly primitive machine, is easily emulated on today's super-powerful PCs. I have found that the PC Atari Emulator (pcae) is very effective, providing fair compatibility, sound and perfect speed. All four Star Wars games are available as ROMs, but I can only get ROTJ: Death Star Battle to work so far. I'm sure I'll figure out what the problem is, though.

Here's a site with loads of ROMs: Atari 2600 Information

Available Games:

The Empire Strikes Back (1982)
Star Wars: Jedi Arena (1983)
Return of the Jedi: Death Star Battle (1983)
Star Wars coin-op (1983)
