C'mon you can do it! YES make your OWN salami in the oven!
5 lbs lean hamburger
1/4 cups Morton's Tender Quick Salt
1 tsp. liquid smoke (optonal)
1 Tbsp Garlic salt or powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
Peppercorns if desired for authenticity.

Mix hamburger and Mortons Tender Quick well, cover and let stand in refrigarator overnight.
Next day add liquid smoke, garlic salt and onion powder; mix well. Divide in half and form two sticks. Place on a cookie sheet and bake in 200 oven for about 6 hours.
NOTE: this recipe will form its own casing as it bakes. Be careful with amount of peppercorns you use as they become very strong.
