1 3/4 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp orange peel
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup orange juice
1/3 cup oil
1 cup chopped cranberries
combined with 1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

In a large mixing bowl stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, orange peel and salt. Make a well in the center. Combine egg, milk, orange juice and oil. Add egg mixture all at once to flour mixture. Add nuts and cranberries. Stir just until moistened. Batter should be lumpy. Grease muffin cups or line with paper cups; fill 2/3 full. Bake in 400 oven 20-25 minutes or till golden brown. 10-12 muffins
