3 Tbsp sugar
1 cup water
5 whole cloves
2 Cinnamon sticks, broken
1 lemon, sliced thin
1 bottle dry red wine
nutmeg to taste

Combine sugar, water, cloves and cinnamon in metel fondue pot or stove pot. Place over med heat, stirring to dessolve sugar.
Add lemon slices and wine. Let simmer 10 minutes. Serve hot in mugs with a sprinkling of nutmeg.
