Prepared Chicken Broth
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup water
1 cup Matzo meal
1/3 cup melted shortening
1 tsp salt
dash of pepper

Add water, melted shortening, salt and pepper to the beaten eggs. Mix WELL. Add Matzomeal and stir thoroughly. Cover and let it rest in refrigerater 20 minutes. Form into balls and drop into 1 1/2 quarts boiling water. Cook 20 minutes. Add to soup.

Some helpful hints:
Its a good idea to let the matzo balls simmer in the soup for at least 1/2 hour. The longer they are in the soup, the better they will taste.
