Heros and Hunters

Actually, I've all but covered this in "Why We Love Him", but here it is anyway with more detail ~_^ :

Link. Samus. You'd think that a hylian and a human would have nothing in common, especially when one is the Hero of Time and the other a hardened bounty hunter. But when you look at how Nintendo and magna has portrayed their lives, you come to realize that these two are very similiar...almost frighteningly so.

For instance. If you look at Samus' bio, you'd see that she lost her parents when she was just a child. Sound familiar? Yep, Link lost his parents at a young age as well, and was left with the Kokiri and Deku tree to be raised. While Samus herself was not raised by an enchanted tree, she was raised by the Chozos. Elves...bird people....they're about even.

Neither really fit in where they were being raised. Although Link did resemble some of the Kokiri, Samus didn't resemble the Chozos in the slightest. (until she recieved her suit) But the Kokiri did give Link a hard time in life, where the Chozos treated Samus as if she were their own. Either way, both were tough little kids, with strong wills.

Then came the time when both recieved their weapons. In his early adult years, Link was able to wield the Master Sword; similarly, the Chozos gave Samus her power suit when she was a young adult as well. Both fight alone with these, and are the only ones who can use them.

There are other vague similarities between the two as well, but nothing important. In both Link and Samus' first games, they both had brown hair, when -- POOF! -- they both magically became blondes the next go-round. (And still remain blonde until this very day... ~_^) They both have blue eyes as well, but again, that's nothing important.
