LOVE

1 Cor 13:4-8

Love is patient,

 love is kind.

It does not envy,

it does not boast,

it is not proud.

It is not rude,

it is not self-seeking,

it is not easily angered,

it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects,

always trusts,

always hopes,

always perseveres.

Love never fails.

it keeps no record of wrongs.   From logos, to count up, to take account of as in a ledger,         with a view to settling the account

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects,                Love covers, protects, forbears  . Stegei, roof

always trusts, .                     From  pisteuei . Not gullible, but has faith in men.  

always hopes,                     From  panta (elpizei ) Sees the bright side of things. Does not despair.

always perseveres.             From panta hupomenei. Carries on like a stout-hearted soldier.

 

Love never fails.                 Hee  agapee  oudepote  piptei. for the perpetuity of love.  Love survives everything.
