Photo Layout tour 11-19-01

These photos were taken by a very good friend, Marty McCoy.  They will show you a fairly good representation of the condition of the layout currently.  Since the era is today, I try to keep up with the times as well.  The tragedies of 9/11 have stirred all of America, and the patriotism has come to the layout also (thanks to the kind folks at Tony's Train Exchange (usual disclaimer), I have flags flying or hanging at many of my industries.  They provided some in their ad in Model Railroader, 12/01, but I didn't want to cut up my magazine.  I downloaded them from their web site, but you can also write them and they will mail them to you.  They include three "scales", but I used all three.  There are big flags and little flags, of course I have one flying outside the fire station in Hutchinson.

New photos have been added to show the two new backdrops in Lawrence & Topeka, Oct., 2002.
