I have been a writer for my entire professional career. Since the late 1980s, I've been the Director of Correspondence for a state legislature, a senior editor at the White House, a senior speechwriter for two Federal agencies, and a technical speechwriter for a large telecommunications company. I have taught writing skills development, written and edited publications, and over the years, developed some opinions about what is, and is not, good writing. This page is a work in progress.
