![]()
On Friday, September 26, 1997
my beloved cat, Scritchie lost her battle
with Fatty Liver Disease and Feline Diabetes.

you would have lived forever~

Scritchie came into my life early one Monday morning and stole my heart from that
very moment. I guess you could say ... "she had me at meow" <^..^>

The Rainbow Bridge
~Author Unknown~
![]()
Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill or old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling to each other in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...never to be separated again.

Scritchie was my first cat and she was so very special.
Not a day goes by that I don't think of her ... and miss her.

I urge anyone who cares about their pet to take the time
to gather as much pet health information as you possibly can
[ Why not just surf the web? ... you're here already :) ]
There are far too many links to list here, but a
search engine ( such as google.com ) will help you find what you need.
There is so much information out there ... all at the click of a mouse! (pardon the pun)

If you are uncomfortable with the course of action your vet takes with your pet, find a
new vet immediately!! Ask questions .. demand answers and do not always assume
that just because there is a diploma on their wall that they are capable of
giving your pet the excellent care and attention he or she deserves.
The best help you can give your pet is to educate yourself about possible illness and the warning signs that could very possibly save your pet's life.
Don't miss the warning signs of illness.
Educate yourself!
(You owe it to your four-legged family member!)
