Dear God

Follow God's example in everything you
do just as a much loved child imitates his
father. Ephesians 5:1 

Dear God,
I must admit that I look at people and
sometimes try to follow their example
but often I am let down.
My children follow me and I know at times they,
too, are let down.
God, here it is plain and clear and straight from
Your Word - I am to follow Your example.
This is hard for me to do because both of us
know me really well. Yet, I am to follow You,
God, as my leader.
Lord, I am not always sure that I will be able to
follow You, but I will try.
This week as I face problems,
people with needs,
and people who may be against me,
may I not only follow Your example, but may I
follow the principles You have lovingly stated
for me to follow.
God, I thank You that I will be better able to
lead others, as I follow you.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.


 

The Lords Prayer 

Our Father who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy name. 
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done,
on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day,
our daily bread
and forgive us our sins as we forgive those
who have sinned against us,
