I only have two pictures as I didn't have my camera the first two day
of removal. On Monday evening was the first sign of the ride removal.
Every two spikes were removed, then the next two were remaining around
each of the three wheels. This is a picture from the 1999 Season, the 2000 season had 25th anniversary painted on the motor covers. |

It was a very rainy and cloudy day so I apologize for the picture quality. They are moving so fast that I was afraid if I waited till the weather broke, that there would be nothing left in site. In the dead center you can see one of the remaining arms, the other one arm is pointing in the 8 o'clock position, but is hard to see because one Raging Bulls Bunny hills is right above it. 11/09/2000 @ 9:33 am |

This shot is a blow up from the shot above to hopefully see the arms a little better. 11/09/2000 @ 9:33 am |

This shot is from Washington Street (on the sidewalk). The arm is in the 1 O'clock position just beyond the Demon track (photo center). As you can see all the spikes are removed from two of the three arms as well as the 'wheel' that the spikes were attached to (and the motors which spin the wheels) 11/09/2000 @ 9:38 am |

This is the closest that I could get from off property. Here you see the on arm is bear and the other on just has the wheel that the spokes were attached to.

This is a shot of the "stem" with 2 of the 3 arms removed. This was taken with a 3x optical and then a 2x digital zoom. Little blurry, but you can see more of the ride. 11/15/2000 @ 7:15 am |

Here is a shot of the one of the removed arms. Surrounding the arm are the three motors and some of the catwalk supports. At the end of the season the buckets were all in the graveyard are by the Scenic Railway garage...but I cannot see if they are still there...to far away.

Here is the crane from a distance to build one (or both) of the new coasters for next year. They are using a boom crane to remove Sky Whirl so it is not for that. This crane has it's arm folded up (that is why it doesn't look to big in the photo).

Shot of the last arm being removed (other side of image). I was low 30's and cold so I didn't wait to long to get a shot today. The new coasters should both be taller than this cranes height! (Batman is to the right and Yankee Clipper Boat flume is to the left) 11/16/2000 @ 4:10pm |
