Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
What would you say about the year 2001? For my family and I, it was quite a difficult year, but the Lord surrounded us with His Grace and Mercy and we were able to overcome our problems. Satan used many incidents to destroy our ministry but I believe the Lord will do great things for His own glory in the days ahead. Please forgive me as a restate two of the goals for the Sharon Fellowship Churches of North America. One is to make us strong in the Lord by strengthening our churches and by establishing new churches in the U.S. and in Canada. The second goal is to support our ministries in India through prayers, personal involvement, and financial support. We are very much a part of the Sharon fellowship Church in India, and through open and sincere communication and mutual commitment, this matter is to be made clear to our brothers and sisters in India. I believe that as Christians, our greatest need today is to allow the Holy Spirit to have full control of our lives so that there will be total unity in the church. Back in 1957, I was anointed by the Holy Spirit, and received the gifts and fruits of the Spirit. The Spirit has been a part of me for over 44 years in my everyday life, as I preached, and as I taught. The Holy Spirit can use us to do miracles, just as he used the apostles in the early church. Let us strive for the same. When the Spirit moves in us, there will be unity in the family. Satan uses individuals to create doubts, fears, and splits among fellow Christians, but Satan will not win. We as the Sharon Fellowship members must move ahead, not with the spirit of Sharon, but with the Spirit of Christ. Plans are underway to build up our youth fellowship, sunday school department, and to establish new churches in several states. Out board members have agreed to participate in the above areas. These things will only happen if we proceed with prayer. When all of these things happen, we will be sure to communicate them to you. That is why we are committed in trying to publish the Sharon Voice, on a monthly basis. Thanks, to brother Thomaskutty and the members in the Houston church; who have done a great job in producing the Sharon Voice. We are adding more members to the editorial board. Now I am asking all of your churches to participate in sending prayer requests and news briefs each month to be published in the Sharon Voice. If you are gifted in writing articles, poems, or whatever, please do so. To do all of the above, we also need a strong financial base. In our last board meeting in Dallas, the board members themselves made pledges for almost 2,000 dollars. As President of Sharon Fellowship Church of North America (SFCNA), let me request and encourage each and everyone of you to send a liberal gift for the Sharon Fellowship Churches of North America. Checks can be made out to Sharon Fellowship Church and sent to our national treasurer:
Joseph Varghese
407 Highland Mist Circle
Houston, TX 77015
Thank you in advance for your gifts. Our board members will prayerfully use the money for our ministries both here and in India. We look forward to our 3rd Annual Family Conference to be held in Oklahoma in 2002. The National Conference Committee meeting will be held in Oklahoma City on April 20, 2002. For the sake of convenience, we are also having the National Board meeting also on April 20, 2002 from 9am to 1pm in Oklahoma City. However we are still hoping to hold a special meeting in the Boston area sometime next fall, God willing. If all of our local churches will send $500 dollars for the Family Conference in advance, we will not have to worry about raising additional funds, as we did last year. Kunjumol and I will be leaving for India on January 3rd for 10 weeks. Please keep us in your prayers for anointed ministries and good health. We remember each and every one of you in our prayers, and we thank God for such capable pastors and efficient board members the Lord has given to SFCNA. You may contact us at Sharon Bible College, in Tiruvilla, Kerala, India. May God bless you all, and have a very Happy New Year! In Christ Jesus,
Rev. CM Titus
