The Acadian Railway Excursion Train was at Houston's Amtrak station, May 9, 2002.  It had arrived early in the a.m. from San Antonio.  It was supposed  be in Houston until Monday, May 13, but Saturday May 12, it was seen heading North along Hardy Toll Road.  This was the route it was to take on Monday, so maybe they moved it early.  It was to head for Montreal, Canada for a summer of weekly excursion rides around Canada and the Northeastern United States.

I took photos that morning (May 9) around 10:30/11:00, as the workers were painting and lettering the cars and engines.  Jeff Clodfelter took photos later in the day (showing the progress the crew made).  Jeff was also fortunate to get invited to tour inside of train and took some great shots.
