JACK'S BAR B Q
Kit #2151
$67.50
The Twenties was a decade of high expectations and
big dreams for the future. Jack bought into the great
dream. He invested everything in a new future for himself
and his family in the Great Southwest. What Jack bought
was a giant pig, a pig so visually interesting that motorists
would be compelled to stop and buy Jack's 15 cent barbeque
and maybe a beer to wash it down. It worked too.
Jack is doing better than even he could have expected. - busy
from opening to close. Jack does not know the state
is planning to move the highway two miles north in about a
year. He does not know that this will turn his giant
pig into another abandoned roadside curiosity. For now, the dream
is intact.
approx. 22 sq. in. needed for both buildings.

TOWN GRILL
Kit #2150
$49.50
In the Thirties, the lavish and extravagant forms
and embellishments of Deco gave way to the sleek enameled
finishes of the Moderne style. This design lasted through
the Great Depression, the years of WWII, and into the '50s.
The TOWN GRILL, is typical of a small storefront application
of Moderne styling. Such buildings were found all across
America, in big cities, as well as in small towns. Many
remain today, some serving their original purpose, while others
have seen a variety of uses.
