1. Should I Keep My Daughter Away From Smokers? Health Central. I kind of agree with leaving other people alone with their bad habits. I know I don't like the health nags driving me crazy. Since I don't think your child is being harmed, I'd say it's one of those things in life that's not worth getting all twisted up about

2. Chlamydia pneumoniae and Cardiovascular Disease: Lee Ann Campbell, Cho-Chou Kuo, and J. Thomas Grayston. C. pneumoniae has been associated with other acute and chronic respiratory diseases (e.g., otitis media, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary exacerbation of cystic fibrosis, and asthma) as well as other clinical syndromes (e.g., erythema nodosum, Reiter syndrome, and sarcoidosis [1]).

3. To State Senator Regarding The Anti-Smoking Billboards: By Elizabeth Liagin. I have a right to know the source of the "factual" information appearing in the ads.

4. The Hidden Cost Of Kicking The Habit: By Krista Foss. Fifty of the reported drug reactions involved convulsions -- some of the grand-mal variety. What's more, the drug was suspected as a contributing factor in the cases of the three Canadians who died while taking it. ... Zyban started off as the antidepressant Wellbutrin.... caused a higher-than-predicted number of seizures... There are also concerns about the drug's interaction with alcohol and other medications.

5. Dr. Dave: Radio Program On Health Issues: At Your Own Speed. The Internet Radio Program for the Physically Challenged. The show is prerecorded, and Dr. Koffman invites you to call him privately anytime toll-free at 1-877-OWN-SPEED (1-877-696-7733) with a question, comment, or an announcement. If your comment is pertinent to everybody and you consent, he will put it on the next show.

6. Doctors Not Taught To Combat Smoking: By Michael Conlon. ``But there's no importance to treating tobacco ... very few insurance companies will reimburse -- half of all managed care (plans) will pay nothing,'' she said. ``You get paid for ulcers, hypertension but you don't get paid for helping someone to stop smoking.''

7. States Spend Too Little On Tobacco Prevention: Health Central. Instead, the money is being allocated for a number of different projects, including budget deficit reduction, biomedical research, educational funding and capital construction projects, according to the report issued by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and the American Heart Association.

8. We Are Everyday People:
*** Flea Collars May Expose Children To Chemicals: Health Central. "What we do not know is how much (insecticide) would be accumulated in people," she said.
*** Mismanaged Tobacco Money: Donald A. Lagasse. If this isn't an example of misuse of funds, even if gotten legally by legal sharks hungry for the almighty dollar, I don't know what is.
*** To Close To The Trees: By Jack Houston. Health is not the issue here, its the diversion. What fuels the anti's is their desire to obtain power & wealth, which is driven by greed.
*** Sterilization Bonus? ThirdAge. Anti-crack crusader Barbara Harris is offering drug-addicted women a $200 bonus if they agree to surgical sterilization or long-term contraception.
*** Woman Fined Over Ribbon Violation: InfoBeat. A woman who tied about 500 yellow ribbons around trees and utility posts to support the military in Kosovo has been found guilty of violating a city ordinance and fined $320.
