Welcome to the new Wright/Hooson regime!
Together, Paul and I are willing to take on the new challenge of not only coaching the BTC but also running the business behind it. There are a lot of demands for such a club, especially financially, but hopefully we can find ways of making the money and spreading the profits evenly between us. After discussion, these new ideas have been put forward.

1. A financial secretary has been appointed, to look after the money and keep the books balanced. This party will also help spend any profits on new equipment for the club.

2. With Ben gone, a supervisor will be present at each training session to keep order and keep check of payments.

3. We are looking for a sponsorship deal. So far we have a couple of options involving a club income of around £2500 per annum although we are still in negotiations.

4. A small YEARLY membership charge of £5 may be introduced to go towards new equipment, and tournaments. The membership will include many new extras that so far havent been announced.

We will keep you posted when any more news comes about.

Bohunt Outdoor Tournament
The Bohunt tournament on the 13th July was a new experience for the Bedford team. It was the first time the team had played outside and they held up particularly well dispite the new enviroment and the scorching heat.
Unfortunately after incidents which involved our club an official investigation is under way and the results will be put on the site after the outcome of the investigation is disclosed.

Latest Sponsorship News
The club are well on their way to sealing a major sponsorship deal that will greatly benefit all at the BTC. We are in the final stages of completing the deal with a local company which could bring as much as £500 a year to the club. There is also a chance of an additional £200 payout from another company who are helping sports teams as part of their sport in the community department. Hopefully the clubs financial status will be much healthier within the next few weeks. I will keep you posted.

Kingsmill Kit For Clubs Promotion
The club have been registered to claim free equipment from this promotion. What we need is for as many people possible collecting these tokens. Please, please, please save the kingsmill tokens found on thier product packaging and get them to me or a member of the club.

National League Round 1
We started off the League with some of the hardest games. A good effort from the team got us a well deserved win, but we unavoidably fell to the 4 main teams. Hopefully we will be set up for better fixtures in round 2.

National League Round 2
An amazing display by the team has boosted player morale in some challenging times for the club. Five straight wins have shot us up the table and into history as our team with an average age of 16 is knocking on the doors of the proffesional mens teams at the top of the league. The day ended with a sensational win over the Liphook Lions, which was a marvellous achievement for us. Hopefully it has made a mark on those who have been sceptical of us in the past. Well done guys!

Financial Aid Finally Arrives!
Ok, well it isn't the Marshall Plan, but at least our friends at BT are showing interest in our sport. A sum of £50 has been given to the club as well as the chance to  improve our website for free. More news will follow.
