Skitzi
died in October 2002. She
had intestinal cancer. I miss her every day and night, especially
when going to bed. That was her time to jump up on the bed and be
affectionate. The first night she was gone, I felt like she had
jumped up on the bed, but of course there was nothing there, or was
there? Sometimes I feel her around me. IT's a very strong feeling.
I'm sure she is still around me, and will catch a glimpse of white
out of the corner of my eye. We had found her when she was abandoned
by her mother at 4 weeks old in the attic of the studio/barn
building in which we lived. She was a very sick kitten, and had to
be bottle fed and given antibiotics. As she got well, she became a
feisty little girl. She maintained her wild spirit throughout her
life, and was a better watch'dog' than our Great Danes. My brother
in law was afraid of her. She was a funny girl who had a wicked good
sense of humor, and was so beautiful to see. She was snow white,
soft as a rabbit to the touch, and had a calico tail. Her eyes were
the most beautiful yellow with emerald green around the black
pupils. I will always miss her.
