WHO HAS OWNED EWING OIL?

Ewing Oil is a company that was founded by Jock Ewing, his brother Jason and his friend, Digger Barnes. Jock came into complete control of the company when his drunken partners sold their shares to an entrepreneur, who was happy to sell out to Jock. After Jock retired as chairman, the Presidency changed several times. After his death, Jock's will stipulated that JR and Bobby fight each other for control of the company. After almost a year of feuding, JR and Bobby decided to split it. In the years following, small percentages were exchanged between the other Ewings, but in 1986, the Justice Department removed Ewing Oil from Ewing hands. JR had been dealing with terrorist BD Calhoun. Eventually, control of the company was returned to Ewing hands, but when Bobby's wife, April, was murdered, Bobby sold it to LeeAnn De La Vega. She, in turn, sold it to Michelle Stevens, who then sold 50% to each JR and Cliff Barnes. Planning a takeover of Ewing Oil, JR sold his percentage to Cliff. His plan failed, though, and Cliff continued to own Ewing Oil for five more years. Currently, Bobby Ewing and JR's ex-wife Sue Ellen jointly own Ewing Oil. Ewing Oil is worth approximately two billion dollars.
