DRAGONBALL CONTINUED
Being
very hurt now, Goku falls back and looks straight up. He sees the moon in the
sky, the full moon in the sky! Goku then turns into a giant ape again! Why does
he undergo this strange transformation at the full moon? All is explained later.
After the ape beats up on Jackie for a while, Jackie uses his Ultimate
Kame-Hame-Ha. He shoots it right at the moon. The blast triggers Goku back to
normal. After Goku is replenished from this uproar as an ape, he gets up. Jackie
then shoots another Kame-Hame-Ha at Goku, but he dodges it. Goku then fires a
Kame-Hame-Ha at Jackie, which he dodges. Both fighters are now tired out in the
air. Very tired both contestants kick eachother simultaneously, which causes
them to both fall to the ground. The ten count is used, but neither person
stands. The referee then says whoever stands first is the winner. Goku starts to
get up then falls. Jackie hobbles his way to his feet then, and says “I guess
I win!?” With that done, Jackie Chun is declared the winner of the 21st annual
Tenkaichi Budoukai tournament. After the tournament, Goku and Krillin both say
farewell to Kame-sennin, and they thank him for the training. Now, with that
done, the hunt for the Dragon Balls continues! There are basically three parties
that are searching for the Dragon Balls. They are Goku, Emperor Pilaf, and The
Red Ribbon Army. You probably know who Pilaf is by now, but I’m sure you
haven’t heard of the Red Ribbon Army, also knows as RR. RR is a major group at
this time in the story. They are searching for the Dragon Balls so they can have
ultimate power. The Red Ribbon Army is led by Commander Silver. One thing about
RR is they all have colors for their name. So now that you know the basics of
the three parties searching for the Dragon Balls, it’s time for the search to
begin. The same day the 21st Tenkaichi Budoukai got over, the Red Ribbon Army
defeated Emperor Pilaf’s army in the desert. RR obtained the 5 and 6 star
Dragon Balls here. One of the main buildings of the Red Ribbon Army is a large
tower called Muscle Tower. It is where many of the strong men of RR are
stationed. After hearing about RR going after the Dragon Balls as well, he
headed to Muscle Tower. In one day, Goku defeated everyone in Muscle Tower
except for Blue Shogun, one of the top fighters. Blue Shogun is one of the most
ruthless people on the Earth. He had one of his own men shot for picking his
nose! Blue Shogun follows Goku to Penguin Village to face him in a duel to the
death. Both fighters are very strong, but Goku should have the edge. The battle
doesn’t even start before a person comes down out of the sky. His name, Tao
Pai Pai. Tao Pai Pai says he could destroy Goku and Blue Shogun in an instant.
Neither believes him. So to exhibit his strength, he kills Blue Shogun with only
his tongue! Not far from Penguin Village is a place called Karin Tower. Where
the god of the Earth, Kami-sama lives. Goku figured if he could make it there,
he could survive. Well, Tao Pai Pai follows him there, and faces off against
Goku at the base of Karin Tower. Goku is no match for Tao Pai Pai as Goku gets
beaten very badly. With Tao Pai Pai satisfied with his win, he leaves. Goku,
desperately needing help, decides to climb Karin Tower even after he is badly
beaten. After a day of hard work, he reaches the top. At the top, Goku’s
mission is to take the Super Holy Water from Karin. Goku figured that this water
must be very important if this was his task, so he decided to do it. So he tries
and tries to get it from Karin, but he just can’t seem to. And finally, after
he thought he could not take it anymore, he finally got it. And after Goku drank
the Super Holy Water, he didn’t feel any different. And then he is informed
that it is just normal water, and that his training was the fighting to get the
water, the water itself did nothing. Well, Goku decided it was good enough for
him. Later that day, Goku went back down Karin Tower, and discovered that he was
much quicker going down this time, then when he went up 4 days ago. At the base
of the tower waiting, are Tao Pai Pai, and the Red Ribbon Army. Goku, not
knowing what to do, just goes on instinct and starts attacking. Tao Pai Pai, who
is already at the time fighting off the RR, is aided by Goku for an instant. Tao
Pai Pai then stops his battling and decides that he would be the one to defeat
the RR, so Tao Pai Pai charges at Goku. With the entire Red Ribbon Army amazed
at this, knowing that if both of the fighters kill eachother, they will easily
get the Dragon Balls, all they do is sit back and watch. Amazingly, the battle
isn’t even much of a battle. It is another short quick win again here, but
this time for Goku as he kills Tao Pai Pai! Now at this time, Goku destroys the
entire RR awaiting at the tower. He then, within a spand of one day, defeats all
of the Red Ribbon Army by himself! And with Pilaf fading out of the picture, it
seems as though that the good guys win again thanks to Goku. A month later Goku
goes back to Karin Tower and climbs to the top once again. Goku wants to be
trained more by Karin. Karin tells Goku to run around the entire world! Goku,
being a little naïve boy, accepts. Goku completes this training and stays at
the top of Karin tower for another year. In the next 2 years, Goku meets many
people. One being a very strong man named Tenshinhan. Goku met this man by
saving Tenshinhan’s best friend Chaozu. Tenshinhan then is kind to Goku for
years to come. At this time, Goku, who has trained very hard for the past years
under Kami-sama, decides to swim to the Papaya Islands where the 22nd Tenkaichi
Budoukai is being held. Even more people showed up for this then did for the
previous Budoukai. There were 182 entrants total. But as always, only 8 moved
onto the quarterfinals. Those eight are Yamucha, Tenshinhan, Man-Wolf, Jackie
Chun, Chaozu, Krillin, Panputto, and Goku. The first match was between the
former desert bandit, Yamucha, and Tenshinhan. This match was not long at all,
as Tenshinhan easily disposed of Yamucha with one kick! The second match was
between Man-Wolf and Jackie Chun. Jackie, also known as Kame-sennin, won the
previous tournament by defeating Goku. Man-Wolf, competed in the last
tournament, but lost in the preliminary matches. Man-Wolf, who is a very hairy
man, starts out the match by charging at Jackie and giving him a punch. Jackie,
easily dodges this punch and delivers a spinning kick right to the jaw of
Man-Wolf, sending him quickly to the ground for a 10 count. The third match was
between Chaozu and Krillin. Chaozu, who Goku saved his life 2 years earlier, is
still in dept for this. Krillin, who hasn’t been very active since the last
Budoukai, still felt this remorse in Chaozu, and decided to take advantage of
it. With Chaozu knowing that Krillin is Goku’s friend, and that it would mean
a lot for Goku to face his best friend Krillin in the semi-finals.(that is if
Goku wins in his match, ya, Goku is really gonna lose first round, if he loses
at all!) Chaozu secretly gives the match up by allowing Krillin to knock him out
of the ring. The fourth match is between Panputto and Goku. This is Panputto’s
first attempt at a Tenkaichi Budoukai, and he made it all the way to the
quarterfinals. Well, that is as far as he makes it, as Goku disposes of him with
one quick punch. Making every quarterfinal match a one shot victory. The first
semi-final match is between Tenshinhan and Jackie Chun. Tenshinhan, who knows
that Jackie is probably the strongest person in the Budoukai, knows he must
fight with intensity. They both seem equal in power, but for some reason Jackie
is not looking very happy. Suddenly Jackie steps out of the ring! Tenshinhan is
declared the winner! Why did Jackie do this? Jackie said it was fun, and that he
wants to let Goku face Tenshinhan in the finals. Well, with Kame-sennin wanting
Goku to face Tenshinhan in the finals, he must have more faith in Goku than his
other pupil, Krillin, who is Goku’s opponent for the other semi-final match.
The battle starts out with Goku just having fun, but Krillin is serious. He was
always in Goku’s shadow, and he wanted to prove something here. Krillin sees
he is outclassed, so he does the only logical thing, he pulls Goku’s tail. If
you can recall, this hurt Goku very much earlier in Dragon Ball. But after his
training, Goku is much stronger, and this doesn’t hurt him. Goku, just making
a big laugh out of all this, starts jumping all over the ring. Krillin is so
scared he jumps out of the ring, and Goku is declared the winner. Now, with that
done, the finals are between Tenshinhan and Goku. Tenshinhan and Chaozu’s
current trainer now, Tsuru, is the same trainer Kame-sennin had when he was
younger. This man is very angry because his brother was Tao Pai Pai. Tsuru wants
Goku dead more than anything for killing his brother. Tenshinhan, doesn’t
really know what to do, since Goku did save Chaozu’s life. Tenshinhan just
decides to put this all aside and focus on the fight at hand. Onto the
championship! What makes this battle so interesting, is the fact that Tenshinhan
and Goku have equal power levels! With that in mind, let’s get this thing
started! The battle begins with each fighter exchanging punches and kicks. Both
contestants are very fast. Goku then decides to use the blur attack. Yes, the
same one used in the 21st Tenkaichi Budoukai. Tenshinhan, having three eyes,
sees the real Goku and nails him into the ground. Tenshinhan then uses his
attack called Solar Flare, where he redirects the sun’s beams into his
opponents eyes. But Goku pulls out Kame-sennin’s sunglasses and puts them on.
Tsuru, worried now, tells Chaozu to telepathically hold Goku down. Chaozu,
thinks about for a while, but he agrees. Tsuru then tells Tenshinhan to kill
Goku now, but Tenshinhan figures out that Tsuru is just a bad man, and he
doesn’t kill Goku. With this, Tsuru decides to try and kill Chaozu, but Roshi
shoots a Kame-Hame-Ha at Tsuru killing him. Chaozu and Tenshinhan are both
thankful, and the battle continues. Tenshinhan then grows four arms and starts
punching Goku. Goku isn’t phased at all though, as he can take it. Tenshinhan,
being very angry now, puts his hands together, and charges up energy for an
enormous attack. Suddenly Tenshinhan screams “Kikohu”! The entire arena is
demolished as both fighters hover above in the air. Both fighters are almost
dead, and they are both slightly falling to the ground. Goku then charges up for
a Kame-Hame-Ha. He shoots it, at the ground though! He is propelled up straight
at Tenshinhan. He hits him, both fighters are now spiraling towards the ground.
The announcer says that the first one to hit the ground will be considered the
loser. As both fall, Goku hits seconds before Tenshinhan. Tenshinhan is declared
the winner. One day later, a big green monster appears, his name is Piccolo
Daimaou. This man is not to be confused with the Piccolo we all know, he is a
different person. So when I say Piccolo, I am referring to Piccolo Daimaou. This
evil man kills Krillin, Chaozu, and Kame-sennin all in one day! Goku is enraged
with this beast, and chases him down. Goku comes up behind him and punches him
in the back. They engage in a very short fight. Piccolo is pretty much the
winner. Goku leaves then and decides that he must drink the Super Holy Water
again to stand a chance. Karin tells Goku that this is really the Super Holy
water he will be drinking this time. After drinking the water, Goku goes off
after Piccolo. When Goku arrives at where Piccolo is, Piccolo tells one of his
Minions named Drum to kill Goku. Goku easily dispatches this guy. So Piccolo
then decides he must kill Goku now. Piccolo flies at him, but Goku counters with
a punch, sending Piccolo straight into another one of his minions. Goku then
tells Piccolo to power up so the real battle can start, so he does. Now both
fighters are at full strength for the real deal. Piccolo puts his hands together
and smashes Goku into the ground, Goku gets up and the words Kame-Hame-Ha come
from his mouth. He fires straight at Piccolo knocking him over. Piccolo is so
angry now he destroys Goku’s Nyobu Staff. Piccolo then says “this time I
won’t hit your staff”! He fires and out of nowhere comes Tenshinhan saving
the day. He takes the blast and is almost dead. Goku thanks him, and continues
the battle. Piccolo, realizing he can’t win now, results in cheating. He grabs
Tenshinhan and threatens to kill him. Piccolo then shoots some rocks at Goku
causing him to bleed very much. Now with that done, Piccolo releases Tenshinhan
and prepares for his ultimate attack. Goku, also preparing to fire, gets a
Kame-Hame-Ha ready. With both fighters shooting their best at eachother, they
both are spent. Goku then, with a sudden rage, propels himself forward, and goes
right through, Piccolo’s chest! Piccolo spits up blood all over. And also he
spits up an egg. As Piccolo Daimaou goes down, he tells his son to avenge him
and to kill Goku no matter what. So with his dying breath, a new Piccolo is
born, the one we know now, Ma Junior. (Ma Junior is the name for him. He is
really known as Piccolo. He is the one we know of now.) After the battle, Goku
goes to Karin Tower once again to receive magical beans called Senzu Beans,
which completely heal you. After feeling much better, Karin tells Goku to go to
Kami-sama’s Palace to visit the great Kami-sama himself. Goku agrees, and
heads off to go to Kami-sama’s Palace. The next day, Goku arrives at the god
of the Earth’s palace. There, Kami-sama and his servant Mr. Popo train Goku
for the next three years. As the third year has now approached, Goku is now 16
years old, and will compete in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai. And now, the 23rd
annual Tenkaichi Budoukai has begun. This tournament is a very wild one, and
definitely, the most exciting. Only the most elite of the fighters competed this
time, a total of 64 preliminary matches took place before the final eight were
chosen. Those eight, having been to previous Budoukais, have much experience.
The eight fighters are Tao Pai Pai, Tenshinhan, Goku, Tokumei Kibon, Piccolo,
Krillin, Shen, and Yamucha. So now, the battle begins! The first quarterfinal
match is between Tao Pai Pai and Tenshinhan. Well you may be thinking, didn’t
Goku kill Tao Pai Pai? Yes he did, but he was wished back with the Dragon Balls.
The first match is very quick. Tao Pai Pai pulls out a knife and tries to kill
Tenshinhan for not killing Goku when he had the chance. Tenshinhan, being very
angry now at Tao Pai Pai, charges at him, but the referee stops this match as a
result of a disqualification by using foreign objects. Tenshinhan is the first
winner. The second match is between Goku and Tokumei Kibon. All of you know who
Goku is, but who is Tokumei Kibon? This woman is really the Ox-King’s daughter
Chi-Chi in disguise. This match gets going quickly. It gets over quickly too, as
Goku easily defeats Tokumei. After the match Tokumei goes up to Goku and tells
him who she really is. Goku then remembers her from Frypan Mountain, where Goku
saved her father. Chi-Chi, wanting nothing more but Goku, asks him to marry her.
Goku, being the dumb person he is, says “sure”. So after the tournament,
Goku and Chi-Chi are to be wed. The third battle is Piccolo against Krillin.
This Piccolo is Piccolo Daimaou’s son. Piccolo, being determined to avenge his
father’s death, wants to make it to the finals so he can face Goku. The battle
starts with Piccolo just standing there. After a few seconds, Piccolo shoots a
beam from his mouth, knocking Krillin out of the ring for the win. The fourth
match is between Shen and Yamucha. Many of you know who Yamucha is, but Shen, I
don’t think you know who he is. Shen is the god of the Earth Kami-sama,
disguised as a human. He is not really disguised as a human; he is in a
human’s body. Well, after losing in the quarterfinals in the last 3 Budoukais,
Yamucha wants to win for once. These two opponents are actually well matched.
They exchange blows and shots. After a few minutes though. Shen catches Yamucha
off guard and delivers a knockout punch to Yamucha. Shen is the winner. The
first semi-final match is between Goku and Tenshinhan. After having a very close
match in the previous tournament, this one wasn’t as close. It looks as though
Goku’s training from Kami-sama paid off in the end. As after a matter of
minutes, Goku finishes Tenshinhan off with a kick, followed by a punch, sending
Tenshinhan unconscious. The second semi-final match is between Shen and Piccolo.
This match is odd because Kami-sama, is twins with Piccolo Daimaou, who is
Piccolo’s father. So this is kind of like a nephew versus uncle match. Well,
this match doesn’t last long as Piccolo takes advantage of how weak Kami-sama
is in this human body. Piccolo then says he will imprison Kami-sama in the
Denshu Jar, where his father was for so many years. After getting Kami-sama in
there, Piccolo swallows the jar! With Shen gone, Piccolo is declared the winner.
This sets up a final match between Goku and Piccolo. The long awaited finals
match has arrived. Everyone knew how strong Goku was. Everyone didn’t know how
strong Piccolo was though, but since he looked like his father, who was very
strong, they considered Piccolo strong too. With the battle starting, Piccolo
says he won’t let his father down, and that he will avenge him. The battle
begins with Piccolo nailing Goku, and Goku falls, but he isn’t hurt. Then
Piccolo fires a beam straight at the audience, Goku seeing this, charges up his
Kame-Hame-Ha hoping to deflect it. Both attacks are very strong, but Goku’s
overpowers Piccolo’s attack. Piccolo gets up from this, and uses this power up
attack that makes him very tall. Goku then starts to laugh, so Piccolo gets even
bigger! Goku then uses the Kame-Hame-Ha against the ground to propel himself
into Piccolo. Inside of Piccolo, Goku retrieves the Denshu Jar and throws it to
Tenshinhan. Then Kami-sama is freed. Kami-sama brings Piccolo back to normal
size, and the fight resumes. Piccolo then fires a beam that is blocked by Kami-sama.
Goku then tells Kami-sama to leave, since he wants to compete under the rules.
Piccolo then, being very angry shoots a blast that deflects back and hits
himself in the arm. With this battered arm, Piccolo just rips it out and grows a
new one! He has the ability to regenerate. Piccolo then emits this huge energy
from inside of him, and it is very powerful. Goku gets to his feet then and says
he is not done for yet. After all of the battling at this time, the only people
left on the island are Piccolo, Goku, the referee, and the gang, (Buruma,
Tenshinhan, etc…). Goku then decides to use his Kame-Hame-Ha on Piccolo. It
hits him so hard that the referee makes it to a nine count. Piccolo immediately
gets up. Remembering his father’s last words he shoots a beam from his mouth
and it goes right through Goku’s shoulder. There is now a huge hole going
through Goku's shoulder at this time. Goku, then smiles and says he is about to
win. Piccolo then decides to use his ultimate attack on Goku. After shooting it
at him, there seems to be nothing left of Goku. But he is in the sky, and flying
straight at Piccolo. Piccolo, not believing Goku is still alive, and let alone
flying, is frozen in fear. Goku gives somewhat of a headbutt move, and knocks
Piccolo out of the ring. With this done, Goku has won his first Tenkaichi
Budoukai! Goku then eats a Senzu Bean, and he also sends one over to Piccolo.
Piccolo, half-dead, eats it, and flies off. With the tournament over, the
wedding begins. There is not much to the wedding, I mean, there are a few funny
parts, being that it is Goku getting married, but all in all, it goes pretty
well. The next thing showed after the wedding, is one year ahead in time. A boy
is born to Goku and Chi-Chi. They name him Gohan, after Goku’s grandfather.
And for the next 4 years, that family lives very peaceful in a cottage off in
the woods. That is, until Dragon Ball Z starts!
