Yes the main character from FF7 is in FFT to get him follow these steps below so he can join your party.

1.In Chapter 4, go to Goug Machine City. When you enter the city you will encounter a scene where you go into this building and see this round device that reacts to the Zodiac Stone when you go near it. Since this one Zodiac Stone you have is the incorrect one you have to get the correct Zodiac Stone so the machine can function well.

2.Go to the pub in Goland Coal City. When you enter choose the rumor option choose the last one and I suggest you follow along and read it :).

3.Go to Lesalia Capital City where you'll encounter a Temple Knight named Beowulf, who asks you if you could help him find and rescue his friend The Holy Dragon.

4.Go back to Goland Coal City there you will fight a series of battles to rescue the Holy Dragon and recieve the Aquarius Zodiac Stone. After this the Holy Dragon joins your party.

5.Go back to Goug Machine City when you arrive and take the Aquarius Zodiac Stone to that circular metal object it turns out to be a robot. Then the robot joins your party.

6.But first of all follow the main story by opening the dam. The after that new cities will be revealed when you exit the city. Go to Zeltennia Castle and enter the pub and choose the last entry in the rumor section. It will reveal a path to the island, but nothing will happen when you reach there.

7.Go to the next city, Zarghidas Trade City. You'll encounter Aeris selling flowers here then she will ask you if you want to buy some, you should buy some flowers from her.

8.Now go back to Goug Machine City and when you arrive there is another machine that reacts to the Zodiac Stone.

9.Now go back to Zeltennia and fight ROBOT #8 so you can recieve the Cancer Zodiac Stone when he is defeated.

10.After the battle the Holy Dragon transforms into a women named Reis and she reunites with Beowulf then she joins your party.

11.Now go back to Goug Machine City and then there is a scene where Ramza puts the Cancer Zodiac Stone near the metal object then suddenly after a while tada...Cloud appears from Final Fantasy 7 then runs off.

12.First of all go to Igros Castle to defeat Dycedarg.

13.Now head back to Zarghidas and you will encounter a scene where Cloud starts running and bumps into Aeris. Now after that a gang of thugs show up you have to defeat them to get Cloud to join you.

14.After you beat them you get Cloud on your party he's pretty weak but he's pretty strong if you gain up his levels well first of all he cannot equip heavy armors,and helmets but he can equip swords. To use his special tech. Limit Breaks you need the Materia Blade which is located at the volcanoe at the highest point with the Move/Find Item ability.

     Getting the Genji Equipment

To get the Genji equipment you must have a Thief available at a high level. Ok when you enter the battlefield take the thief and move him around to Elmdor let the others protect the thief. Then keep going near Elmdor until you reach behind him then keep stealing from until he doesn't have anymore then you will have all the Genji Equipment which is really useful in your quest.

     Learning Zodiac

To learn Zodiac you must go to the deep dungeon and to the level END...this is where you will learn the Summon ZODIAC. Ok before you enter the battle equipe your summoner with the best stuff you got then when you enter make your way near Elidibs the big guy you'll know who then when you approach him he will likely summon Zodiac, if you survive through it your summoner will learn it but if he/she dies then they will not learn it. This is not going to be easy so you have to try awhile till you learn if after you defeat Elidibs you get the Serpentarius Zodiac Stone.

     Getting to Deep Dungeon

To get to the Deep Dungeon, you must be in chapter four. After finishing St. Murond and before going to Orbonne Monastery, head to Warjilis Trade City. A bar scene will start, and then the Deep Dungeon will appear. The Deep Dungeon has 10 levels in it, its pretty dark in there to light up the place you must kill people but not all to light up the place also there is a boss waiting at the end for you which will be a big surprise.
