A CARING COMMUNITY IN THE CATHOLIC TRADITION
serving Mississauga and surrounding communities

St. Anne’s Parish was established as an open community of people, whose roots are in many denominations, worshipping in homes as well as other locations, all services co-ordinated through St. Anne’s Parish.

Our Church is in harmony with the early Christians in which the Apostles would hold worship wherever they found themselves — in the temple at Jerusalem, in private houses, in caves and in other places where two or more could praise God. St. Anne’s is under the jurisdiction of the Old Catholic Church of Canada, an independent church incorporated in 1960.

Every Sunday, Holy Communion is held in the Sheridan Park area of Mississauga and monthly in Oakville - please contact us for information on times. The ministries provided at any suitable location to sincere persons of all faiths are: Christian Initiation (Baptism), Wedding, Memorial and Funeral services. Ministries provided to all validly baptised Christians are: The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession and Absolution); Holy Matrimony (and Nuptial Eucharist); Anointing (Sacrament of Healing); the Holy Eucharist (Communion) and the Requiem Eucharist. St. Anne’s clergy are registered to officiate at marriage services by the Province of Ontario.

“Old Catholics” are those Catholic Churches that trace their Apostolic Succession back to the original Apostles through the self-governing churches brought together in the union of Utrecht (1889) after their break from the Roman Church because of innovations in dogma and/or through one of the many ethnic Eastern Orthodox Churches which had separated from the Roman Church in 1054.

Catholicism, properly defined, is a religion of faith and freedom. St. Anne’s invites all sincere persons to its services. For those whose wish to practice an historic faith with a ritualistic liturgy and a recognition of personal liberty, you will find a home at St. Anne’s.
