Campground near Ouray, Colorado

It is early September as I leave the campsite
pictured in the background. My tent is still
up to the right. As you can see by the load on
the back of the bike, I carry alot of clothing
and two sleeping bags for a two week trip.
I did alot of hiking and videotaping, as well as
traveling on my bike to other scenic surroundings.
The distance to this campground from home is about
1600 miles. It takes me about two days to get there.

The motorcycle is a Honda Shadow 1100cc twin with
a drive shaft, water-cooled engine and a hydralic
clutch. This bike has been ridden from Indiana to
Colorado and back seven times.
I usually ride with friends and my brothers, but
I have gone solo a couple times which gave me a
real exhilarating feeling. Fortunately, I've never
experienced a break down of any kind, although I
picked up a nail once with a brand new tire.
I still road with it for quite a while before I
had it plugged.
