Countrycool.com, in its last day online, ran an article on the 'Party With Paul' contest; it also briefly mentioned the chat difficulties. Click here to read it.

Country.com had a really small blurb today about the Juno nominations, which briefly mentioned Paul. Since it's so short, I'll just post it here.

Twain, Clark Earn Juno Noms
Shania Twain, Terri Clark and The Wilkinsons are among the Canadians receiving nods for this year's Juno Awards. The accolades, given by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, will be handed out March 4 in Hamilton, Ontario. Twain, who has been working on a new album in Switzerland, is up for Favorite Country Female Artist. She'll compete with Clark, Tara Lyn Hart, Michelle Wright and Carolyn Dawn Johnson, who just released her debut U.S. single, "Georgia." Clark also received a nod in the all-genre category for Best Female Artist. Former Warner Bros. artist Paul Brandt will try to defend his title as Best Country Male Artist against fellow nominees Julian Austin, Chris Cummings, Adam Gregory and Jason McCoy. The Wilkinsons are up for Best Country Duo or Group along with Farmer's Daughter, The Johner Brothers, Lace and Prairie Oyster.

--your local Ticketmaster outlet
--Ticketmaster.ca
--Copps Coliseum box office, the phone number is (905)-645-5000
--Hamilton Place box office
Attention: I have no official way of verifying this, but I kinda doubt if Paul will be at the Junos this year--they're the same weekend as Telemiracle in SK.

The webmaster of PaulBrandt.com (aka the amazing Kevin McGinty) did some major updating on the site last night. We should have tour dates for the Small Towns And Big Dreams tour any time now, although we do know that the tour is scheduled to run from March 16th to April 15th. Meet and greet passes will be available for sale at each concert in limited quantities, and you'll also be able to pre-order Paul's new album (slated for a late summer--early fall release) at the shows for a discounted price--upon buying the album, you'll be given a receipt and the album will be sent to you when it's finished.

Well, as most of you probably already know, the chat last night was a disaster. Countrycool.com's computer system was hacked into, and half of the people couldn't get into the chatrooms. They moved the chat to the room at paulbrandt.com on very short notice, and the room has a 15-person limit anyway. At any rate, I'll try to have the chat transcript up by the end of the day.

I got the WebRing working again--apologies to Geocities, turns out it wasn't their fault.
Click here to read the Calgary Sun's Country Year In Review, which briefly mentions Paul's split with Reprise.

OK, if you've been to Mel's page lately, you know that Geocities has been doing some weird things on her. Well, I'm not sure, but I think maybe they're starting to screw with my page too. Suddenly, for no reason, my WebRing has gone goofy, and I didn't touch the coding for it; all I did was add a counter. I'll see if it straightens itself out soon; if not, I'll handle it accordingly. Thanks.
