Our Director
Susan McMane, Conductor, is Assistant
Professor
of Music at Saint Louis University
where she teaches voice and directs their two choral ensembles, the University
Chorale and Mastersingers. As a professional singer, Susan has appeared
as a soloist in opera and oratorio with organizations such as Opera Theatre-St.
Louis; the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra; Young Audiences, Inc.; the Bach
Society of St. Louis and the St. Louis Philharmonic. in 1998 Susan was
awarded "Music Educator of the Year" by the St. Louis Chapter of the American
Guild Organists. On leave from duties at the University and as Director
of Music at Union Avenue Christian Church, Susan is currently
completing a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Chorale Conducting at the Conservatory
of Music, University of Missouri-Kansas City.
