Baked Spareribs with Barbecue Sauce 2 pounds pork spareribs, Lean 1 garlic clove, minced 3 tablespoons vinegar 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce 1/3 cup chopped onion 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon oregano 1/2 cup water Trim excess fat from the ribs. Cut into 6 serving portions. Place in baking pan. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over ribs. Cover and let stand 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake covered for 1 1/2 hours. Remove cover; baste; bake 1/2 hour. Spoon off excess fat before serving.
