
Andhra Natyam is the traditional lasya dance performed
for centuies by female artists of Andhra Pradesh, as a dedication to the
Lords in Temples, Buddhist Aaramas and Courts of Kings and Emperors. The
dance has an exquisite foot work captivating expressions and splendid movements
of the body with gaiety and
bequty
representative of the tender feminine touch. Kala Krishna is an outstanding
artist with a total mastery over the style and won distinction as the only
artist in Andhra Pradesh with full knowledge and total performance talent.
Navajanardana Parijatham is a choreographic interpretation
to the popular mythologicall theme realated to the divine life of Lord
Krishna
and
his glamorous consort Satyabhama. This dance calls for exurberant performance
from the artist synthesising beauty in the form, music in the eyes, message
in the movements and sweeetness in performance elevating the effect of
music, song and sunstance. Kala Krishna is endowed with all these qualities
to the optimum proportion that make the audience spell-bound at the masterly
command over the rich art.

Krishna is a disciple of world reknowned Indian Classical Dance exponent
Kalaprapurna Dr. Nataraja Ramakrishna who has transformed decades of intensive
research into rediscovery of a great tradition.

Krishna gave over 800 stage performance in India and abroad. The dance
performance of Kala Krishna is chosen on all occassions of national importance
and cultural festivals.
