Chapter 6
By Katie

Casey slammed the door shut and turned around to see Jane standing next to her. "Hello dear, how was your flight?"

"Long. Where's my room? I need a nap." She asked. Jane nodded understandingly and walked up to the house.

"You need more than a nap. You need a tranquilizer." Nick muttered under his breath and Casey turned around.

"I heard that asshole." She sneered before flipping him off and following Jane up to the house.

"This is your room Casey. I hope you like it. Nick's is next door and BJ's is just down the hall. The bathroom is across from your room. Holler if you need anything." She smiled sweetly and Casey plastered a fake smile on her face before Jane walked out of the door.

She shut the door and looked around at her room. It was big, no doubt. And it was, like she expected, bright and shiny. But to her horror, the room was filled with flowers. Flowered wall paper, vases filled with fake flowers hung around the room and on the bed was a huge flowered bedspread.

"Holy fucken shit, they expect me to LIVE in this room?" She asked herself out loud before throwing her stuff on the bed. She walked around, inspecting every nook and crany of the room. It was completely and utterly clean. Not a speck of dust to be found in the room.

"Well, that'll change. Just give me a couple hours." She laughed and then opened her bag, throwing the clothes onto the bed.

As soon as she had everything out of her bag and laying on the bed, she let her hair down. It was oily and stringy, she hadn't taken a shower in two days. But that was only cause she didn't feel like it. She then slicked her hair back and shoved her hat back over it. "God dammit, I need a smoke." She pulled out a cigarette and opened the window.

She took a puff and relaxed. "Ah, this feels better." She continued smoking until there was a knock on the door. "What?" She spat out and the door opened revealing Nick. Casey rolled her eyes.

"Mom said dinner is ready." He looked at her with a disgusted face "Put that thing out. Don't smoke in our house, if you have to smoke, then go outside." He yelled before slamming the door shut.

"Oh yes, this living experience is going to be one hell of a good time. Blondie better be going on tour soon." She put out her cigarette and walked down the stairs to eat dinner.

"Hello Casey." Jane greeted warmly as Casey took a seat in the empty chair. Right next to Nick, how convenient.

"Hey." She looked around at everyone. Jane and Bob were smiling at her, as was BJ, Nick was glaring at her, Leslie had no expression on her face whatsoever, and the twins seemed to look a little scared.

"I hope you don't mind Casey, but we don't allow hats to the dinner table." Bob politely said and Casey rolled her eyes.

"Sure whatever." She took off her hat and grabbed for the plate of rolls.

"Um, Casey. Before we eat we always say a prayer. Perhaps you'd like to do it tonight?" Jane asked and Casey shook her head.

"You're shitting me right?"

"No Case, we always say prayer before dinner." Nick smirked at her.

"Don't call me Case, Blondie." She snapped at him and Jane looked at the two with a troubled look on her face.

"Nick, Casey, please don't fight at the dinner table. Casey, I know this is your first night here but we do not use words like that at the dinner table do you understand?"

"Yeah, whatever. I'm leaving I need a cigarette." Casey stood up and walked out the front door while the rest of them watched her leave with astonished looks on their faces.
