		Welcome to the official web site for Michael Loyd's upcoming science-fiction/horror novel, Humans Reborn! Here, we have information about the novel, exclusive previews, and an author biography. We hope you take your time to fully enjoy this web site and its many features! UPDATES March 6, 2006 That's right! There is a contest being held at Student.com for a chance to win a free copy of Humans Reborn! The contest closes on March 28, 2006. The winner is chosen on Saturday, March 29th and a free copy of Humans Reborn is mailed to their house. Certain rules apply. In order to be eligible: - You must be registered with student.com. Sadly, I could not get the restricted access portion of the site to work properly. For a while there, it was working, but now its not :( So I could not include that in the final build. One day I will include it though. So, without further ado, you should visit the order page and buy my book! Learn about what Humans Reborn is and why you should read it. I finally finished proofing of the book. Actually, I do so a few weeks ago, but I've been so busy with preparing for college and such I never had the chance to update the site. I made a new wallpaper that is available for the Playstation Portable (PSP). Check it out in the Media section! \|Media\| The book comes out January 2nd. Everything is in place. I'm going to make any last minute corrections and then release it on January 2, 2006! To tide you over, I give you another sneak peek at the book, as well as a first glance at the book's cover art. Enjoy and Happy Holidays! \|Cover Art\|Sneak Peek\| -Michael Loyd November 27, 2005 First off, I'd like to wish everyone a late Happy Thanksgiving for those of you that celebrate the holiday. I had a quiet and homely family holiday. I hope yours was safe as well! Just a progress update, I'm on the final round of editing! I'm so excited that I am almost done with Humans Reborn. Expect a huge party and a new preview when I complete the book! Spread the word! -Michael Loyd November 20, 2005 So I'm on the edit before the last. I'm 95% completed with the novel and I'm estimating it should be 100% complete by December 1st. I'm going to work diligently to meet this deadline. I've released a new preview to the novel. I'll keep you updated with the latest news! -Michael Loyd November 4, 2005 It's been quite some time since the last update. I've made more progress on the book! I'm now 93% complete. The entire novel should be done by the end of December. I will order a paperback copy then and proof read everything. By that time, I will start advertising the book like crazy... and reveal its release date. I'm very excited about the new things I've been adding to the story to make it the best it can be. In other news, I've opened up two new sections of the site: \|About The Book\|About The Author\| I hope you enjoy these features! Read the first preview of my book right here: \|Sneak Peek\| In other news, I have changed the status bar of the project's progress to 90% completed. The final edits should be done by mid- to late-November which would allow me plenty of time to order copies of my book to proof read them as hard copies. I'm very excited! -Michael Loyd October 5, 2005 I'm making lots of headway with the novel and the web site. I'm moving the launch date of the site forward to November 1 instead of January 1. That means you will see the entire web site fully active two months ahead of schedule. You also may have noticed the new logo at the top of the site. I made it last night. I think it looks quite creepy, but it definitely sets the perfect tone for the book. On my next update, I will post my first preview from Humans Reborn. -Michael Loyd September 26, 2005 I've set the tentative release date for my book: Friday, May 19th, 2006. This is a great time to release a book. It's just before summer when people actually have time to read! Also, I will release the first preview for my book in October. I want you to get a feel for how my book will be written. I also think it will increase interest. The book's dimensions will be 6" x 9" and close to 300+ pages. I'll keep you updated as I make more progress! I've made a few minor cosmetic changes to the site. Most visitors might not notice it, but the small changes I made give the site more consistency. I've also been working on other pages for the site. The Special Extras password lock has finally been coded and I'm excited to see how it works when the book is finally released. Readers will see the password somewhere in the novel and be able to use it to unlock the Special Extras portion of the web site. It's a feature that I think will increase the interaction between the readers and I. -Michael Loyd September 19, 2005 After a great camping weekend, I have more inspiration to work on my book. I have opened up two new pages on the site. I have added a contact page where you can e-mail me and a media page where I have posted "pictures" of scenes from my book. I've been growing evermore inspired to finish this book. The ending is one step closer, and I can't wait to release this book into the world! I've done a little bit more research for a publisher and I want to get the last round of editing completed by the end of next week, at the latest. After that, its one more final round of editing, and it will be time to submit my work to a publisher! I don't have a release date for the book yet, but right now the goal is to get it out by Fall 2006. If everything goes smoothly, it should be out before that.
