Here we go again. :)
Now that we've done League, it's Legacy's turn. Here is the list:

THIS IS TOO LONG, WHY SHOULD I READ IT?
Don't, if you don't want to. Just check for the section titles and read what you care about. Check the end for a recap on exactly what I'm looking for without using too many words to hurt your poor aching head. ;)

HOW DID I COME UP WITH THIS LIST?

I took the initial list from the first The Rank Project thread, and took everyones suggestions and formed a new list from everyone's opinions.

Fortunately, the list wasn't ambiguous enough to where I needed to make personal decisions between "tied" alliances to determine who'd be on the list or not. In cases where one alliance had three votes for it, and one against it, and another had two votes for it, and none against it, I chose the one with no votes against it.

WHAT NEXT?

Now that Part I is done (selecting which alliances are top 20), here is Part II.

In this phase of The Rank Project, I ask that you all leave suggestions on what alliances FROM THE ABOVE LIST should generally be ranked BELOW the alliance currently being evaluated (today, Legacy) on any top 20 list. Do not mention if you think someone is tied with Legacy, or above Legacy. Only say who you think should be below them. Name as many alliances as you want, from the list.

WHY ASK WHO IS BELOW ANOTHER ALLIANCE?

I'm hoping that by asking who would be BELOW Legacy, rather than above Legacy, this will avoid extraneous arguments about who is better, when all we really care about right now is who is generally agreed to be ranked in a certain relation to Legacy.

WHY NOT JUST LOOK AT OTHER RANKINGS AND COMPARE?

The reason why I don't ask for everyone's own ranking of alliances is because that will be too difficult to fairly determine where most people put which alliances. With the method I am using, hopefully certain biases will be avoided and it will be more apparent that most people put alliance XXX below Legacy, rather than most people ranked XXX about 7 or 8 where Legacy was ranked between 3-5, along with many other alliances.

SO, WHAT WAS IT I SHOULD DO NOW?

1) Look at the list in the first post.
2) Think about Legacy.
3) Think what alliances belong BELOW (not tied with) Legacy.
4) Post here what you came up with.

5) Also tell me your thoughts on why you think Legacy is good/bad.

These are the following alliances I would rank below Legacy.

I think Legacy has had a rough start and next reset some of these alliances might be ranked above them with the people that Legacy will be losing...

I ranked IX below Legacy for the simple fact that IX was set up for war and Legacy was clearly set up specifically for netgaining (all those TTR do not make good fighters)... I agree that Legacy had a size and a NW advantage but the NW advantage doesn't mean squat when you are talking about an alliance that is set up for netgaining vs one that is set up for war (you should expect a netgain advanage from the netgaining alliance). And the membership advantage was easily offset by IX first strike and their massive user/pass sharing...

All in all I think Legacy is a better alliance.

Lets compare two wars

Genesis (networth advantage setup to netgain TTR's)

vs

Rage (number advantage looking for war)

Genesis won the war by a large margin.

Legacy (networth and number advantage setup for netgaining)

vs

IX (only advantage was first strike which Rage also had on Genesis)

IX wins by a large margin. I just checked the total networth status on the two alliances and Legacy is about ready to drop below IX in total networth (where they were 2x their total networth before war)

Only the dellusional or the ignorant can make a claim like Sun Tzu's.

War Tracer, IX has been following stats on who total alive networth during this war. We doubled their total alive networth two days ago :).

I'm tempted to rank NM over them though...

Sun Tzu needs to get on the cluetrain... All in all I think even if all of legacy was running dicts they still would've lost this war.
