Now that we've done SOL, it's TheCult's turn. Here is the list:

THIS IS TOO LONG, WHY SHOULD I READ IT?
Don't, if you don't want to. Just check for the section titles and read what you care about. Check the end for a recap on exactly what I'm looking for without using too many words to hurt your poor aching head. ;)

HOW DID I COME UP WITH THIS LIST?

I took the initial list from the first The Rank Project thread, and took everyones suggestions and formed a new list from everyone's opinions.

Fortunately, the list wasn't ambiguous enough to where I needed to make personal decisions between "tied" alliances to determine who'd be on the list or not. In cases where one alliance had three votes for it, and one against it, and another had two votes for it, and none against it, I chose the one with no votes against it.

WHAT NEXT?

Now that Part I is done (selecting which alliances are top 20), here is Part II.

In this phase of The Rank Project, I ask that you all leave suggestions on what alliances FROM THE ABOVE LIST should generally be ranked BELOW the alliance currently being evaluated (today, TheCult) on any top 20 list. Do not mention if you think someone is tied with TheCult, or above TheCult. Only say who you think should be below them. Name as many alliances as you want, from the list.

WHY ASK WHO IS BELOW ANOTHER ALLIANCE?

I'm hoping that by asking who would be BELOW TheCult, rather than above TheCult, this will avoid extraneous arguments about who is better, when all we really care about right now is who is generally agreed to be ranked in a certain relation to TheCult.

WHY NOT JUST LOOK AT OTHER RANKINGS AND COMPARE?

The reason why I don't ask for everyone's own ranking of alliances is because that will be too difficult to fairly determine where most people put which alliances. With the method I am using, hopefully certain biases will be avoided and it will be more apparent that most people put alliance XXX below TheCult, rather than most people ranked XXX about 7 or 8 where TheCult was ranked between 3-5, along with many other alliances.

SO, WHAT WAS IT I SHOULD DO NOW?

1) Look at the list in the first post.
2) Think about TheCult.
3) Think what alliances belong BELOW (not tied with) TheCult.
4) Post here what you came up with.

5) Also tell me your thoughts on why you think TheCult is good/bad.

Also, since we've reached the end of the reset, keep in mind that I'm asking for opinionated rankings based on how you feel about the alliance and their performance (past, present, and future expectations), and NOT about who pulled what rank at the end of the reset.

well... I think that would be a bit biased but I'll type for a short bit...

I believe that The Cult has a lot of great active players that have strong ties to the alliance. We tend to have more of a family atmospher - which I feel is a very strong point, as well as a little bit of a bad point. "bad" meaning that sometimes, due to the closeness of the membership, it can be tough for new folks to feel like they 'fit in'. But we have some projects this reset that hopefully will help with new folks joining us.

I believe that we have some great netgainers that not only know how to build high net countries but also know how to / have the patience to pass that knowledge on to other members. I consider this a very good point with no bad draw backs.

I believe that we don't have enough members, and we have some projects in the works this reset to attempt to remedy that, and continue to keep the fun enviroment that we have. But hey, everyone starts somewhere, right? :)

I believe that while we have a few members that really know the ins and outs of fighting, we have not had nearly enough practice in warring. This is a bit of a bad point. But I also believe that the end of The Cult/RED war we showed extreme improvement over the begining of that war. (read again - I didn't say we were up to a war alliance standard - just that we, based upon our own performance in the begining, improved a great deal). I think that this is something that we can work on, and while we don't have a project yet planned or written out - we do have some folks looking into getting a project underway.

I have a lot of respect for our leaders and the skill and dedication that they put forth each reset. I believe that we all work together as a team and support each other very well. I can't say enough about what these guys get done and the time and effort they put forth for the alliance - all Great points, with no bad in this.

Overall, I believe that we have a very solid alliance that, as most alliances can admit, have some work to do. But I also believe that we have the foundation and the dedication to move forward, fix the bad, and grow some more.

I think I've prolly typed more than I first set out to :) - sorry. I hope that was what you were wanting.
