Chester, England
1944
This is the first of two pictures taken at my Army location near Chester, England in early 1944. The sign refers to officers' living quarters. The camp was built by the British and turned over to us. I'm the one on the right, pointing (at what I don't recall). My brother John is at the left. He found me somehow and surprised me by showing up at my office. - Bill Burke
John (left) was shot down near Eindoven, Netherlands on September 17, 1944.
