Hope & Faith
Someone once said that hope and faith were the greatest gifts the gods ever gave mortals.
HOPE
It's hope that allows us, even when we sink into the bowels of life's dark consequences, to believe that there is light still left in the world.
It's hope that allows us to understand, when we frantically push to deny the shackles of our own weaknesses, life will push back to give us the strength and courage we need to break free.
When we cannot stand alone or even lift out heads, it's hope that allows us to surrender ourselves into the protection of someone who has stepped onto the precipice to fight the demons by our side until fear and loss are vanquished and all that remains is the dawning of the light.
FAITH
It is faith that allows us to trust the hand we are holding will not let go and will give us the strength we need to pull free of the undertow.
It is faith that allows to see past the stench of loss and failure to the gifts that life offers.
